Remote admin & digital support · Aotearoa NZ

What’s lurking on your to-do list?

Invoices to send. Customers to follow up. Data that needs sorting. A spreadsheet that’s becoming mildly terrifying.

Hand it over.

Ink & Thorn provides flexible remote admin and digital support for small businesses, taking care of the work that’s stealing your time.

One-off jobs or regular support for NZ sole traders and small businesses.

I’ll do it later…

Tomorrow, probably

Go on, tick one off. It’s strangely satisfying.

The usual suspects

None of them are dangerous on their own. It’s when they start to breed.

Most business owners I talk to aren’t short on ability. They’re short on hours. These are the jobs that sit at the bottom of the list getting bigger.

The unpaid invoice Overdue

You did the work weeks ago. Chasing the money feels awkward, so it waits a bit longer, and then a bit longer again.

I’ll send the invoices and follow them up, politely and persistently.

The unanswered enquiry

A potential customer got in touch. You meant to reply that evening, and that was a fortnight ago.

I’ll answer enquiries and follow up leads before they go cold.

The spreadsheet with three versions

Nobody’s sure which one is right. Somebody has a fourth one on their laptop.

I’ll untangle the data and make one version you can trust.

The database nobody understands

It was set up years ago, it still runs the business, and everyone is slightly afraid of it.

I’ll tame it, maintain it and keep it doing its job, Microsoft Access included.

The website that time forgot

The prices are out of date, the contact form goes nowhere, and the “latest news” is from 2021.

I’ll make the content updates and fix the forms.

The inbox

It needs no introduction. You can hear it from here.

I’ll sort the inbox, manage the diary and keep the follow-ups moving.

Why me

My skill set doesn’t fit neatly into the usual Virtual Assistant box.

I’ve worked in the engine room of businesses, dealing with invoicing, accounts administration, customers, sales, marketing and call centre management. These days, I build websites too.

I’m extremely comfortable in Excel, increasingly at home in Microsoft Access, and quite happy disappearing down a database rabbit hole when required.

Which means if your to-do list says “chase the invoices, clean up the customer database and for the love of all things unholy, fix that website form,” you don’t need three different people.

Hand me the list.

More about me
  • Flexible

A few hours when you need them, or regular support each week. It’s your call.

  • Remote

I work from my home office, in your systems, wherever in New Zealand you are.

  • No new hire

No recruiting, no desk, no payroll. Just the work, done.

  • One-off or ongoing

Clear one ugly job, or hand over the regular admin for good.

How it works

Four steps. No séance required.

  1. Tell me what’s causing you grief

The job, the pile, or the vague sense of dread. All of it counts.

  2. We agree what I’ll take on

What I’ll handle and what it costs, sorted before anything starts.

  3. I handle it remotely

I work in your systems and keep you in the loop without needing a babysitter.

  4. It’s off your list

Done & dusted. You get back to the work you actually enjoy.

The details, and the questions people ask

Give me the things you keep putting off.

I’ll get them done & dusted. One job or a whole pile, we’ll agree what I’m taking on and what it costs before anything starts.
